It's off topic, but don't forget Friday August 1st is International beer day.

It's already Friday afternoon for me so I'm heading to the German Club tonight to drink some tasty treats. anyone else have plans for the weekend?

Ayinger is hard to find here, I had one of their doppelbock's at a beer festival a couple years ago and it was amazing!

Been celebrating Beer Day for a few hours. So far I've had:

I think it's hard to find Ayinger anywhere since it's a private independent brewery. It's a shame though cause they really make excellent beer!

It's a beer festival in a 12 pack. I searched high and low for this damn thing. It's sold out everywhere I've tried finding it.

Good find then! I highly doubt it made it's way over here, but Sierra Nevada Brew co is starting to gain some fans down under (or marketing money). I've noticed the Pale Ale and Porter in more and more mainstream bottle-o's

All of my friends who have had that said that it was extremely underwhelming. But being a Chicoan our standards of what comes out of Sierra Nevada are a little higher. Nevertheless enjoy! I will probably imbibe with some good ol' Torpedo tomorrow.

I have both 3 Floyd's and New Glarus within an hour or two drive from me, so my standards are pretty high, too.

I wish I could get 3 Floyd's out here. I've only had the colab they did with Brewdog and that was a few years ago.

just looked it up and it looks like there's a bottle-o in Canberra that stocks it, on the geographically furthest point from where I am currently. Might be a trip for another day.
